Panama the dolphin dies at Clearwater Marine Aquarium

ImageSad news today from SeaWorld’s friends at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Panama, a dolphin rescued in 2000, has passed away. She was estimated to be in her mid-30’s. In 2007, it was discovered that Panama had become deaf when she no longer responded to trainer whistle blows. Panama was used extensively for guest interactions at CMA, as well as being a mother figure and companion to the other dolphins Winter, Hope, and Nicholas.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Clearwater Marine Aquarium staff.
