Animal rescue teams recently returned an adult male Bottlenose Dolphin to the Melbourne Beach area. The dolphin was rescued nearly five months ago, and was found to be suffering from a respiratory disease as well as being dangerously thin. He was successfully treated for his conditions, gained more than 140 pounds during his stay at SeaWorld, and was monitored 24 hours a day. He was eventually deemed healthy enough for release back into his natural habitat. He was fitted with a radio tag so that SeaWorld could monitor his progress and then released.
