SeaWorld Orlando Animal Rescue Team Returns Sea Turtle Rescued in 2012

Yesterday, members of SeaWorld Orlando’s animal rescue team returned a Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle to its natural waters after two years of extensive treatment and rehabilitation. This sea turtle was one of many rescued by the Coast Guard and brought to SeaWorld in 2012. This turtle was treated for cold stress, pneumonia, and deep tissue wounds on his neck and flippers.

The Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle is the rarest and most critically endangered turtles.
