Dawn’s Dream: From Tragedy to Triumph

Today 13abc.com in Toledo, Ohio aired a beautiful tribute to the memory of Dawn Brancheau, and highlighted the various works and projects of The Dawn Brancheau Foundation, which was established in Dawn’s memory by her family. The video segment titled Dawn’s Dream: From Tragedy to Triumph focuses on the different organizations which have benefited from the work of volunteers from her foundation. In March 2014, the group constructed Dawn’s Playground for homeless children serviced by Mathew’s Hope. Volunteers also tend to Dawn’s Garden at Edgewood’s Children’s Ranch, where children grow their own vegetables in a community for those who need food. Every year since 2010, SeaWorld has hosted the Dream Big 5K where runners and volunteers can participate in service projects and come together to celebrate Dawn’s life. To read the full article, and view the wonderful video tribute put together by ABC 13, you may follow this link.
